About the Author

DevKit is built and written by an independent builder who spends most days working with APIs, websites, and the small utilities that hold them together. The tools on this site are the ones he kept reaching for and could not find in a form he liked: fast to load, free to use, private by design, and honest about how they work.

His background is in building for the web — writing code, debugging other people’s code, and explaining technical ideas in plain language. That combination shapes DevKit: every tool is paired with an explanation and a worked example, because a tool you understand is more useful than a tool you merely trust. He also builds and maintains other small web projects, including finance calculators for freelancers, and writes guides aimed at people who do the work rather than people who manage it.

If you spot a mistake, have an idea for a tool, or just want to say the site helped, email hello@dev.cimeng.dev. More about the site itself is on the About page.
